Two of our Retail employees helped save the life of an Emirati woman who experienced a medical emergency while visiting one of our service stations in Ras Al Khaimah

The quick-thinking actions of two of our Retail employees helped save the life of an Emirati woman who experienced a serious medical emergency while visiting one of our service stations in Ras Al Khaimah last December.

Retail Sales Assistants Rymon Pausanos and Allan Masanque came to the aid of the woman after noticing that she was in distress. The two team members provided first aid to the lady and kept her comfortable before paramedics arrived at site 1444 in RAK.

First-aid teams were quick to praise the pair’s actions, stating that their timely support and rapid reactions were vital in saving the life of the woman, who was transferred to Sheikh Khalifa Hospital for treatment.

Both Rymon and Allan graciously refused to accept cash rewards from the woman’s family in thanks for their heroic deed, stating that it was their duty to help.

Our Group’s Retail MD, Zaid Alqufaidi, officially recognised the two men and presented them each with awards as part of our Retail Heroes Recognition initiative.

Their actions served to showcase the highest levels of customer care and attention regularly demonstrated by our frontline Retail staff – an inspiring act to us all to carry out similar acts of humanity and selflessness.
